"These days, the Prague Zoo is hosting a pumpkin feast. I have to preface that there is now a surplus of pumpkins in the Czech Republic in various ways. Friends are offering it to each other, so all the more reason to give pumpkins to our animals. It’s perhaps a little bit of a form of Halloween, although the carved pumpkins with lights or candles inside are not quite traditional here. So here we’ve changed it to that pumpkin feast."

STORYLINE:
In celebration of Halloween, Prague’s zoo hosted a pumpkin feast on Thursday for animals, exciing adults and children alike.
Zoo director Miroslav Bobek explained that one of the inspirations was the surplus of pumpkins across the Czech Republic.
"It’s perhaps a little bit of a form of Halloween," explaine Bobek.
However, since Halloween is not traditional in Czech culture, the Zoo does not include any traditional carved pumpkins with candles.
Still, the feast has brought a festive seasonal touch to the zoo and its visitors.
It serves as both an enrichment for the animals and a visually engaging experience for visitors.
