"Because because Donald Trump understands and he’s not wrong about this that that dividing people making them angry will boost his chances of being elected. It’s not good for the country, but it might improve his odds. We we saw it last night."

the man holds this big rally at Madison Square Garden and the warmup speakers were saying the most, were trotting out and peddling the most racist, sexist, bigoted stereotypes. One one guy called Puerto Rico, "an island of garbage."

"These, these are fellow citizens he’s talking about. Here in Philadelphia, they are your neighbors. They are your friends."
6. SOUNDBITE (English) Bruce Springsteen, American singer-songwriter:
"That’s why on November 5th, I’m casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. And I urge all of you who believe the American way to join me, thank you. This is the land of hope and dreams."
STORYLINE:
Bruce Springsteen and former President Barack Obama attended a rally for the Harris-Walz campaign in Philadelphia on Monday.
The use of Springsteen and Obama highlights how Harris’ campaign is in an all-out sprint ahead of Election Day, leaning on some of the most noteworthy names in the party to both help her deliver her closing message and lambast her opponent, former President Donald Trump.
Obama spoke about Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden in New York one day earlier, specifically criticizing that event’s warm-up speakers, including comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who referred to Puerto Rico as "an island of garbage" during his often vulgar opening set.
"These people are your neighbors. They are your friends. They are your coworkers. Their kids go to school with your kids," he added.
"And that is why this election should not be close; it should be clear," Obama stated.
