1. SOUNDBITE (English) Kamala Harris, Democratic presidential nominee: ++STARTS ON WIDE SHOT++
"Maria, let me just add one thing also, because it bears repeating. I have seen a lot of Republicans go up to Liz Cheney and thank her, and they may not be doing it publicly. They may not be doing it publicly because I think she has shown, to your point, extraordinary courage, especially in this environment post January 6th, where there’s something, an undercurrent that is violent in terms of the language and the tenor and for her to show the courage she has shown is extraordinary. But she’s … I’ve seen Republicans come up to her and, and I, from my vantage point, she’s actually not alone."
2. SOUNDBITE (English) Maria Shriver, Moderator and Journalist:
"And so I want to talk about that because there are a lot of people who are scared, scared to vote, you’re scared about the environment, scared to talk about politics. How scary was it for you personally to make this decision? What has been the personal cost for you to do so?"
3. SOUNDBITE (English) Liz Cheney, former Republican Representative from Wyoming:
"It was not, it wasn’t scary at all., in terms of making this decision, because when I look at, the, the nature of the threat that Donald Trump poses and, and look, Donald Trump is doing everything he can to try to get people to forget about what he did, what he did on January 6th. And when you think about that level of instability, the level of erratic decision making, the misogyny, that’s not someone that you can entrust with the power of the Oval Office. And so I think that we are facing a choice in this election. It’s not about party. It’s about right and wrong. And and I certainly have many Republicans who will say to me, I can’t be public. They do worry about a whole range of things including violence. But but they do the right thing. And I would just remind people if you’re at all concerned, you can vote your conscience and not ever have to say a word to anybody. And there will be millions of Republicans who do that on November 5th."

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Liz Cheney, former Republican Representative from Wyoming:
"When when Donald Trump says that his political opponents are the enemy within. And when he contemplates deploying force against them the response that we all have should not be to be so afraid we don’t act. It should be vote him out, defeat him, defeat him. Vote for Vice President Harris."

STORYLINE:
Kamala Harris said voters should take Donald Trump’s rhetoric seriously rather than write it off as a "sick sense of humor."
"Some people find it humorous what he says and it’s just silly," she said. "But understand how serious it is."
She referenced that retired Gen. Mark A. Milley, who served as chairman of the Joint Chiefs under Trump, reportedly described him as "fascist to the core.
Republican Liz Cheney has a message for GOP voters who don’t want to see Donald Trump in the White House but are scared to go against their party and vote for Kamala Harris.
She says Americans can "vote your conscience and not ever have to say a word to anybody."
Cheney says she thinks "millions" of Republicans will be quietly casting a vote for the Democrat.
Cheney says she’s actively supporting Harris because she believes Trump is dangerous, especially because he tried to overturn the results of the 2020 election and still refuses to admit he lost.
