Israel is now engaging in war on three fronts: the operation against Hamas in Gaza grinding on despite the assassination of the group’s leader Yahya Sinwar earlier in October, strikes against Hezbollah expanding in Lebanon, and a potential retaliatory strike against Iran looming.
