Germany proposes national investment fund | DW News

German economy minister, Robert Habeck, has put forward proposals for a national investment fund to kick-start growth. If approved by the government, the plan would see Billions of euros invested in infrastructure, education and digitalisation.
Europe’s largest economy has barely expanded since the coronavirus pandemic, and another recession is looming. Energy-intensive industries such as chemicals have been especially hard hit. And the cornerstone German car industry is facing intense competition from China.
