Rare comet draws Mexico’s stargazers to natural reserve spared from light pollution

Lured by a rare comet, dozens of people guided by astronomers flocked to a park in central Mexico to view the once-in-a-lifetime event.

Comet Tsuchinshan-Atlas, also designated C/2023 A3, was discovered last year and it won’t return for another 80,000 years — assuming it survives the trip.
