STORYLINE:
Japan’s vice foreign minister, Masataka Okano, said Wednesday he and his South Korean and American counterparts had highlighted "grave concerns" about developing military cooperation between Russia and North Korea.
The concerns were raised during a joint meeting between Okano, US Deputy Secretary of State, Kurt Campbell, and South Korean Vice Foreign Minister Kim Hong Kyun in Seoul.
The talks focused on a range of international issues including the Middle East and the war in Ukraine as well as regional, economic and security issues, Okano said.
The three ministers also reaffirmed their commitments to close cooperation in a variety of fields.
