STORYLINE:
Victoria’s Secret made its New York runway return after a six-year hiatus.
The lingerie company had been under scrutiny for not pushing body positivity with its selection of super models for its campaigns and fashion show, but it now says it has evolved and bringing back the fashion show is due to popular demand.
Celebrities including Cher, Tyla, Phoebe Dynover and 2019 Oscar nominee Yalitza Aparicio walked a pink carpet ahead of the show. Cher and Tyla, and Lisa from Blackpink were also tapped to perform.
Models taking to the runway included Gigi and Bella Hadid, Adriana Lima, Ashley Graham and Paloma Elsesser.
Tyra Banks – who last walked the Victoria’s Secret catwalk nearly 20 years ago – closed the show.
