8. SOUNDBITE (Italian) Marco Tesan, ACEA manager of aqueducts and monumental fountains in Rome:
“Inside the fountain we find everything. As you can imagine, by throwing the coin anything can fall. We found bracelets, necklaces and dentures, we found umbilical cords, we found a little bit of everything inside the fountain.”

10. SOUNDBITE (Spanish) Gabriela Finxton, tourist from Chile:
“I love knowing that when you flip a coin you can help people in need. And in a city as beautiful as Italy, which is a holy city, that deep down we can help our neighbours in that way, with so much need in the world, I find it precious. It is a sign of hope and help, of charity and of joy as well. So with the year of hope coming up, I think that’s a good start.”
