A team of restoration experts are reviving film strips from a silent version of Sherlock Holmes. "Silent Sherlock: Three Classic Cases" has way more footage than a modern Hollywood movie. Film restorers are meticulously going over 20 hours of content. Computer software changes the film’s coloring and erases dark marks, but it is a very slow process. The restored footage will be screened at the 2024 London Film Festival.
