"i expect only peace and tranquillity from these local elections, I think we should vote to keep the things as they are. It’s not the best situation now, but as we went through the war – I think we can’t expect much. Some people expect something better, but we should work for that, roll up our sleeves and work, respect ourselves first.”
7. Wide of school-turned-polling station
STORYLINE:
Polling stations opened Saturday for local municipal elections in Bosnia where people will be choosing 111 mayors and city councils around the country.
Bosnia has been devastated by floods and landslides since Friday, leaving 16 people killed, so the elections are overshadowed by grief among the voters.
The Election commission postponed the election in 5 municipalities that were hardest hit by flooding.
