Jen Easterly, Director of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, told AP that election officials in the areas affected by Hurricane Helene are in the process of determining what the impact is on election infrastructure.

Easterly said "I know that they are working to put procedures and processes in place to ensure that there is no significant impact on voters being able to cast their ballot or on election officials being able to ensure that those ballots are counted as cast" in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Elections.
