2. SOUNDBITE (English) Tori Spelling, contestant – on why she took part this year after previously saying no:
"Yeah, it was all based on fear and not wanting to fail and not thinking I was good enough and deserved to be able to do something like this experience. And this year, a lot of changes have happened to my family and I. And I just thought, you know what? I want to show my kids and be a strong role model that you can have fears in life and that’s totally human. But you can push past them too, and face them. And I not only faced them, but like pushed through them like full force with all my heart and soul. And I’m so happy because, like, I found me on the other side. And I know it’s only been two weeks, but it’s has been like a crazy transformational journey."

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Chandler Kinney, contestant and Brandon Armstrong, professional dancer
Kinney: "I had no idea who was going home. I don’t even think I thought that far in advance. I was just trying to not trip. So I just, I think, like, no matter how it shook out, it was going to be sad because we’re all like, we’ve all bonded so much. You know, you see each other coming in and out of rehearsal, you help each other with things, and so you really do form a bond. So it’s just sad."
Armstrong: "I think I’ve seen this a ton lately and I don’t know where it started, but like on comments or on social media, I see a ton of people being like, ‘They deserve it’ or ‘they deserve it’ or ‘they deserve it.’ I’m like, If all these people came into the rehearsal studio and saw how hard all these 13 celebrities are working, they all deserve it, right? Nobody deserves that more than the other person. And so when we have to eliminate somebody, that’s heartbreaking because you know how hard they work. It is so difficult."
5. SOUNDBITE (English) Stephen Nedoroscik, contestant – on the season’s first elimination show:
"Well, I mean, it is like scary because you don’t know who actually voted online. Maybe everyone thought they didn’t need to vote because everyone thought everyone else was voting. Right? It’s like you never know what’s going to happen. And the fact that it was a double elimination kind of was worrisome. But I felt like our performance is really good and I was hoping people are doing a good job voting for us. But I have to say it’s really sad to see some good friends go."
6. SOUNDBITE (English) Pasha Pashkov, professional dancer:
"I mean, we’ll never know."
Tori Spelling: "I know!"
Pashkov: "We tried our best and this is what happened. I mean, this is the beauty of this show is that anybody can win. Anybody can get eliminated. It’s very unpredictable. And that’s what’s really exciting about it. It sucks to be on the receiving end of that elimination, but I mean, what can you do?"
7. Medium Danny Amendola and Witney Carson
8. SOUNDBITE (English) Danny Amendola, contestant – on the double elimination of Tori Spelling and Anna Sorokin:
"I don’t know. You know, I hope that they got a lot from the experience. I feel like they did. You know, getting to know both of them was a real pleasure. I think Tori and Anna both, you know, really, you know, put themselves out there and really pushed the envelope and got out of their comfort zone. And they both, whether they know it now or not, they probably will grow from it. So it is good to get to know them and get to meet them."
