Actress Dame Maggie Smith has died. The two-time Oscar and five-time BAFTA Award winner graced Broadway and West End stages as well as television and movie screens for 6 decades. She is best known as the shape-shifting Professor McGonagall from the Harry Potter film series or perhaps as the ever-dignified Dowager Countess of Grantham from Downton Abbey. According to her family, she passed away peacefully in the hospital on September 27 with family and friends.
