Teen Sues to Stop Auction of Shohei Ohtani’s Historic Ball

The true owner of L.A. Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani’s historic homer is being challenged. A teen claims the ball was snatched out of his hand during a tussle. In a lawsuit, Max Matus says the ball was taken from him as a result of civil battery. The accusation is leveled at fellow baseball fan Chris Belanski. The lawsuit says the teen firmly had possession of the ball and claims Belanski "wrapped his legs around Max’s arm and used his hands to wrangle the ball out of Max’s hand, stealing the ball for himself." The auction house says it believes the lawsuit is without merit and it is confident that Belanski is the true owner of the ball.
