“The company that I worked for for 20 years, at that time, they were looking for a lot of people. They were growing very fast. So I ended up there by coincidence, actually, I was 20 years old, so I did not really have a very strong ambition to go in the oil and gas industry, but I ended up there. And, I mean, in the early years, I really liked it.”

“Around 2014, 2015, it became clear that the world was changing. In 2015, the climate treaty was signed. Of course. And also, in that period, there was quite a significant oil and gas crisis. And that really made us realize that we had to change the direction of the company.”

STORYLINE:
At first, working in the oil and gas industry was great, Jordi Zonneveld recalls.
The company, Frames Group in the city of Alphen aan den Rijn, did very well. Zonneveld was promoted every few years.
And he thought he saw a path: green hydrogen.
