Israel is preparing for a possible ground operation in Lebanon, its army chief said, as Hezbollah fired dozens of rockets across the border and a missile aimed at Tel Aviv. Cyprus is located across a strip of water from Lebanon, and Beirut port has been used before to evacuate foreign nationals by sea from Lebanon during the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah war.
