"We have a huge number of activities, and this is done so that people can come and get acquainted with different types of sports for their pets, get acquainted with some areas of training, that is, how to properly train a pet. Why it is important to do this, and why it is not important to do that, what kind of food to feed and so on. That is, this is a large exhibition, lecture hall and demonstration of activities, where people can get acquainted with everything for free, so that later they can raise their pet."

STORYLINE:
A fashion parade of dog owners and their canine companions – one of the most popular events at the "Petshop Days" festival in Moscow.
Just don’t tell them it’s called a catwalk.
Participants are selected in advance from hundreds of applications, according to organizer Aleksandra Sheremetyeva.
"Petshop Days" is Russia’s largest event for pets and their owners.
The program includes music, sports, lectures, quizzes, and activities.
Dogs compete in a range of agility exercises like lure coursing, dock diving and canicross.
The event aims to support the pet-loving community and offer practical training tools.
"People can come and get acquainted with different types of sports for their pets," explains Sheremetyeva.
"This is a large exhibition, lecture hall and demonstration of activities, where people can get acquainted with everything for free," she adds.
The festival opens with yoga for dogs, which participants say boosts energy for both owner and pet.
"Petshop Days" is held annually in St. Petersburg and Moscow. This was the first event in Moscow since 2019, running for two days on September 14-15 in Bauman Garden.
