"We demand our government first bring the hostages home. Escalating the fighting in the north (with Hezbollah in Lebanon) without securing the hostage release deal is a death sentence. This deal-sabotaging government is forsaking the hostages and abandoning them to die. Instead of bringing home the 101 hostages whom he abandoned. Netanyahu is ensuring we get another 101 MIA (missing in action) cases."

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Naama Weinberg, cousin of killed hostage Itay Svirsky:
"In order to save the hostages lives, Netanyahu must be removed from power. We once again wish to address the American administration from this stage. We understand that due to the various considerations you have refrained from putting maximum pressure on Netanyahu, but the hostages have no time left. Pressuring Netanyahu into securing a deal is in Israel’s best interest."

STORYLINE:
Thousands of Israelis gathered in Tel Aviv on Saturday continuing regular protests aimed at pressuring Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach a deal with Hamas militants that would secure the return of some 100 hostages still held by the Islamic militants in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas-led militants killed some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, in their Oct. 7 attack that sparked the war.
"This deal-sabotaging government is forsaking the hostages and abandoning them to die," said Yotam Cohen, brother of Nimrod Cohen, a soldier held hostage.
Many protesters blame Netanyahu for not reaching a deal because the believe it will help him remain in power while the war lasts.
Hamas-led militants killed some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, in their Oct. 7 attack that sparked the war. They abducted another 250 and are still holding around 100. Around a third of them are believed to be dead.
