Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah is expected to deliver a major speech later today in response to attacks targeting the militant group’s communications devices. The latest wave of explosions claimed at least 20 lives and injured hundreds of people. It came a day after exploding pagers killed another 12 across Lebanon and Syria on Tuesday. Hezbollah, considered a terrorist group by many countries, blames Israel, which has remained silent about the blasts. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, however, says a new phase in the war has begun. The country has recently expanded its official war goals to include the return of residents to Israel’s far north, from which they fled due to cross-border fire exchanges with Hezbollah.
