STORYLINE:
Locals and visitors in the dutch town of Zundert were amazed on Sunday by a spectacular parade of floats made up of flowers.
The incredible floats this year represented a dog, a robot, skeletons, a hotel, action figures as well many others.
The Corso of Zundert is one of the biggest flower parades in the world.
This year, twenty teams competed to build the most beautiful float made with thousands of dahlias.
The first Corso took place in 1936 in honor of then-queen Wilhelmina.
“It’s very nice indeed, a very nice event," said one spectator, Ahmad Ali Alvi.
The floats are made by volunteers who start months in advance and work through the night to get the floats ready for the big day.
