Israel: Protesters return to streets to demand hostage release deal | DW News

Protesters in Israel have returned to the streets to demand that their government agrees to a deal to free the remaining hostages being held by Hamas. It’s the second night of nationwide demonstrations after the bodies of six captives were recovered from Gaza. Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked for forgiveness for failing to secure their release. He insisted he would press ahead with Israel’s campaign to destroy Hamas and keep control of strategic territory within Gaza.
