“These olives will be used for oil if it doesn’t rain in the next 10 days. We are simply keeping it alive with tank water, as there is no natural water supply; all the wells have dried up, and the water level is at 300 meters. Water is too expensive, so we rely on wells from friends who have a little water to spare. They lend us some. We pay for it, sometimes at high prices, to keep the trees alive, hoping that it might rain."

”The reason for the prolonged drought, according to meteorologists, is attributed to human intervention and the climate crisis. In other words, the atmosphere is being altered in some way due to human activity. While such phenomena have occurred in the past, they are now appearing with greater intensity and duration. This drought has been ongoing for about three years now.”
