Heavy rain and flooding forced Randi Marcucio to leave her house in Connecticut. The severe weather eventually caused her house to collapse. Marcucio, an ER nurse and singler mother, tried to find a bright spot amidst the devastation. Randi and her 3-year-old son Riley were alive. But apart from Riley’s teddy bear and her parents’ wedding album, she lost everything when her home fell. Or so she thought.
