Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said his troops’ incursion into Russia’s Kursk region is part of a "victory plan" that he will present to US President Joe Biden next month.
President Zelensky said the success of the plan would depend on President Biden and on whether the US would give Ukraine "what is in this plan or not".
A number of Ukrainian troops made an incursion into Russia’s Kursk region in early August, with Russia so far seemingly unable to repel them.
Russia have, however, continued to attack in Ukraine with a second day of deadly strikes – a day after launching one of its biggest air attacks of the war.
At least six people died overnight Sunday to Monday and dozens were wounded as more than half of Ukraine’s regions were attacked by drones and missiles.
