Protesters demand safer spaces for women in India | DW News

Authorities in the Indian city of Kolkata are dealing with the fallout of the rape and murder of a female doctor in a government hospital. Police have used tear gas and water cannon to disperse crowds demonstrating against healthcare workers’ unsafe conditions. Striking doctors have joined the nationwide protests to demand better security.
