The former elected city official accused of assassinating a Las Vegas newspaper reporter admitted to having an affair with his former employee. Prosecutors claim an investigative article exposing the affair was a motive behind the murder of journalist Jeff German. The alleged mistress, Roberta Lee Kennett, testified about their reaction to that explosive article. She says Robert Telles was furious with the reporter. The former politician says he believes he is being framed by the police department, an allegation they deny.
