Mark Bautsch is lucky to be alive after an early morning ambush that almost cost him his life. It started when Bautsch and his 5-year-old dog headed out for an early morning walk in his neighborhood. A trio of thieves were also up, burglarizing cars in the early hours in Pearland, Texas. One suspect fired shots at Bautsch. Fourteen shots were fired at the dog owner before they sped away. Apart from some minor cuts and scrapes, Bautsch was unharmed.
