"Yeah, I didn’t realise it would be such a big part of like her character development, so I’m really grateful for that. Like I remember when he asked if I would want to sing in the show. I was like, ‘oh yeah.’ I figured it’d be like one scene in the karaoke bar, like Happy Birthday or something like that. But, it was really the way that we opened up, like Mindy’s character, her vulnerability and like her ambitions and that private part of herself. So I’m really grateful for that. And I’m always happy when we are able to use a musical element to further like the storyline of it. Yeah, yeah."
