India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, after meeting with Poland’s premier Donald Tusk in Warsaw. Modi will travel to Ukraine for the first trip by an Indian prime minister to Kyiv. India has so far avoided explicitly condemning the Russian invasion. Modi has been criticized for hugging the Russian president Vladimir Putin in Moscow last month.
