STORYLINE:
An unmanned Russian cargo spacecraft docked with the International Space Station on Saturday, delivering much-needed supplies.
The Progress attached itself to the ISS in an automated operation, monitored by the astronauts in space and ground control in both Russia and the US.
The cargo vessel was launched on Thursday from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, carrying 2.8 tons of food, fuel, equipment and supplies.
Officials said the supplies delivered by Progress included special treats for the crew on board the ISS, like fresh fruit and coffee.
