STORYLINE:
As the 2024 Olympics approach their final phase, with less than a week left for competitions, crowds of tourists and sports lovers from around the world continue to flock to the French capital’s most iconic locations.
The best viewpoint in the picturesque Montmartre hill is one of the favourite touristic sites in Paris.
Another favourite spot for selfies is he large glass and metal pyramid symbol of the Louvre, the most visited museum in the world, and then the most famous French Arch, the Arc de Triomphe a commemorative monument honouring soldiers who fought and died for France.
Finally tourists couldn’t miss a shot of this year’s addition, the unusual Olympic Cauldron, a very special edition one consisting of a ring of fire carried by a hot-air balloon.
France’s world-renowned capital of romance, fashion, gastronomy and culture, boldly married with sports in 2024 to host the world most appealing sports and entertainment event.
After getting off to a rough start with widespread rail disruptions caused by an act of sabotage of high-speed train lines, and then drizzly weather
on July 26, the host city staged an ambitious opening ceremony like no other with 3,000 artists taking part in the show, some 400 dancers, and a global audience estimated to have topped 1.5 billion people.
The 2024 Olympics will officially end with the closing ceremony scheduled for Sunday August 11.
