STORYLINE:
Thousands of Malaysians attended a pro-Palestinian rally at a stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
The government-organized event aimed to highlight Malaysia’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.
Addressing the crowd, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim described Hamas as "the fighter of Palestinian and Gaza’s independence.”
He also said that his country is in touch with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi about receiving people from the Gaza Strip who need medical aid.
