AS VICE PRESIDENT KAMALA HARRIS PREPARES TO ANNOUNCE HER RUNNING MATE, A NEW POLL FROM THE ASSOCIATED PRESS-NORC CENTER FOR PUBLIC AFFAIRS RESEARCH FINDS THAT SEVERAL OF THE TOP POTENTIAL CONTENDERS FOR THE ROLE ARE LARGELY UNKNOWN TO VOTERS.
A FEW OF THE POTENTIAL DEMOCRATIC VICE-PRESIDENTIAL PICKS INCLUDE ARIZONA SEN. MARK KELLY, PENNSYLVANIA GOV. JOSH SHAPIRO, KENTUCKY GOV. ANDY BESHEAR, AND MINNESOTA GOV. TIM WALZ.
OF THE FOUR, ARIZONA SEN. MARK KELLY HAS THE HIGHEST NAME RECOGNITION AND FAVORABILITY.
ON THE OTHER HAND, AMERICANS DO NOT KNOW PENNSYLVANIA GOV. JOSH SHAPIRO AND KENTUCKY GOV. ANDY BESHEAR VERY WELL.
MINNESOTA GOV. TIM WALZ WASN’T INCLUDED IN THE AP-NORC POLL, BUT A NEW ABC NEWS/IPSOS POLL FOUND THAT ABOUT 9 IN 10 U.S. ADULTS DON’T KNOW ENOUGH TO HAVE AN OPINION ON HIM EITHER.
WHOMEVER KAMALA HARRIS CHOOSES FOR VICE PRESIDENT WILL HAVE TO INTRODUCE THEMSELVES TO THE U.S. PUBLIC.
