“So basically it’s always about having a great experience and a nice day. We used to have the Baseflyer here, some people still know it. It was basically a free-fall gate for people. And we’ve now taken the facility out of service and thought we’d take something even more suitable for the masses, something even more beautiful and exciting and a product that everyone can honestly understand. And that’s a swing.”

Berlin is offering a new attraction for thrill-seekers: a swing 120 metres (393 feet) above the city’s iconic Alexanderplatz square.
The first brave customers seem to have enjoyed the high-altitude experience.

A swing with a view.
This is sightseeing for daredevils.
For 24,90 euros (26,95 US dollars) customers can get comfortable on a swing before pushing out from the roof of the Park Inn Hotel.
From a dizzying height, if they dare they can peer down 120 metres at some of Berlin’s most famous landmarks: Alexanderplatz, City Hall and Berlin TV Tower.
The man in charge of the new attraction, Andy Hoefer, says it has caught the attention of the public because it’s instantly recognisable.
