Police in Bangladesh say they have gone on strike, as the country grapples with its biggest political crisis in years. The Bangladesh police association has apologized in a statement for what they called the violent attacks on innocent students during mass protests. They say they were forced to open fire. This comes after parliament was dissolved following the ouster of long-time prime minister Sheikh Hasina. Students who led the uprising say they will not accept an army-led government.
