Nigeria’s president calls for ‘bloodshed’ to end | DW News

Amid Nigeria’s worst economic crisis in decades, thousands have been demonstrating against corruption and soaring inflation. Nigeria’s president Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on citizens to stop protests over the high cost of living.
Security forces have been cracking down on the rallies, where demonstrators have been demanding that the government reduce fuel prices and address Nigeria’s most severe economic crisis in decades. Human rights groups say at least 13 people have died in government crackdowns.
