STORYLINE:
Scores of sports enthusiasts battled the heat outside Olympic venues and at fan zones across Paris on Monday, as the French capital experiences rising temperatures and cloud free skies.

The 2024 Olympic Games had a rainy start with the opening ceremony and resulted in some competitions being postponed, but the weather has improved over recent days.

The maximum temperature will reach 36°C (96 degrees Fahrenheit) on Tuesday, according to Meteo France.

The soaring temperatures will not only impact the athletes who compete in open areas, but spectators, tourists and residents as well.

Meteo France released recommendations to restrict going out in the hottest hours and even when people do, to stay hydrated, wear hats and use spray bottles.
