STORYLINE:
Crowds queued inside London’s St Pancras Station and train platforms remained empty amid disruption to train services after France’s high-speed lines were hit by arson attacks.
A quarter of all Eurostar trains have been cancelled, with disruption expected to continue after the attacks on the international rail network ahead of Paris’ Olympic Games opening ceremony.
At St Pancras, a significantly reduced service of trains continued to run.
For those with cancelled trains, Eurostar is offering alternative services, but with the possibility of those services being cancelled as well.
Customers are being encouraged to postpone their trip where possible.
