STORYLINE:
House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries blasts House Republicans in Congress for lack of "vision or track record" for doing anything for the American people.
Jeffries during a press conference on the Capitol, stood beside a placard that read, #DONOTHING REPUBLICAN CONGRESS as he laid out the failed policies of House Republicans.
"Extreme MAGA Republicans have been in the majority for over 18 months. Can anyone name a single thing that extreme MAGA Republicans in the House have done in order to make life better for the American people," Jeffries asked reporters.
"You can’t," Jeffries said.
Jeffries highlighted support for presidential candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris who is framing the race with Donald Trump as a choice between “freedom” and “chaos.”
Democratic leaders Charles Schumer and Jeffries endorsed Harris on Tuesday, capping off their party’s swift embrace of her 2024 candidacy.
Most Democrats sought to defend how Harris handled the job.
