Everybody looking forward to spectacular games. They have seen their competition sites, they have visited the training venues. Everything is ready and set. And the Olympic Village itself, this is seen in a league of its own. What you can experience there with all the opportunities for the athletes of the apartments, the nature of the training opportunities. That’s really amazing."

STORYLINE:
International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach expressed confidence on Tuesday that "everything is ready and set" for the Paris Olympics which will begin later in the week.
Speaking at a briefing in the French capital, he said "everybody (is) looking forward to spectacular games."
He also labelled the the training facilities at the Olympic Village "really amazing."
The Paris Olympics start on Friday and run until August 11.
