"Due to the successive and continuous attacks on our people and on the displaced people’s tents, which spread everywhere, dozens of martyrs and seriously injured people arrived at Nasser Hospital within a few minutes. Therefore, we call on our people to come now and immediately to the blood bank at Nasser Medical Complex to donate blood so that we can save dozens of lives."

STORYLINE:
At least 38 people were killed in Israeli strikes near the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, according to Nasser Hospital morgue and journalists who saw the bodies.
The strikes took place as hundreds of people were evacuating following a new order from the Israeli military.
The dead and the wounded were rushed to the Nasser Hospital, among them children who were treated on the floor in the crowded hospital.
A woman cried next to a child on a stretcher who had apparently lost her life in the strike.
Plumes of smoke rose in the southern city, already battered by the Israeli strikes and a ground operation.
Many displaced Palestinians had recently returned to a Khan Younis left in ruins, trying to salvage whatever belongings remained.
Some have been living in damaged buildings that are still standing.
Elsewhere, an Israeli strike on a tent in the central Gaza city of Deir al-Balah outside the Aqsa Martyrs Hospital killed one man and wounded another person.
Among the cluster of tents outside the jam-packed hospital are those designated for the press, including one that was struck, which had the word “Press” in English and Arabic labeled.
Similar to other medical facilities in the Gaza Strip, Palestinians displaced from the war are living near and inside the hospital.
Gaza’s Health Ministry says Israel’s military campaign in the territory has now killed more than 39,000 Palestinians and wounded more than 89,800.
The ministry’s count does not distinguish between combatants and civilians.
Israel launched its assault in Gaza after Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack on southern Israel in which around militants killed around 1,200 people and abducted 250 others.
