A man rented a U-Haul truck to go on vacation after his American Airlines flight was canceled and all rental cars were sold out. David Whalen’s overjoyed family greeted him as he arrived at their vacation rental in Sarasota, Florida. Whalen drove three-and-a-half hours in the U-Haul just to be with his family. His ordeal comes amid continuing airport chaos caused by last Friday’s global computer meltdown.
