1. Wide of Republicans clapping outside the Fiserv Forum during the Republican National Convention
2. SOUNDBITE (English) Taffy Howard, South Dakota Delegate:
"He will still be Trump. He will still be, you know, and that’s kind of our base. It’s like you don’t mess with us. I mean, we’re here. We’re not going anywhere. We’re going to fight for our country. And so I think there is that little bit of, not defiance, but standing firm. You aren’t going to push us around. We’re here. And so I would imagine he definitely adjusted that (speech). I mean, you saw him after the shooting. You know the fight, fight, fight. So that’s that’s our attitude. We’re fighting for our country. We’re fighting for our way of life."
3. Mid of sign on Fiserv Forum reading (English) "RNC 2024 Milwaukee"
4. SOUNDBITE (English) Nick Mckinley, Indiana Delegate:
"I think the shooting really made people look at me as more of a human. When you’re a politician or you’re working in government or even a celebrity at that, a lot of people just see you on TV and see you as a figurehead. But when you’re getting shot at and you see blood coming out of someone, it really, labels him as a human again. And I think most people understand now he is a human. He is a father. He’s a grandfather. And we’ve seen a couple of speeches this week from his family that really just brings him down to the level that we are all on. We’re just family people just trying to do the right thing. And I think he’s trying to do the right thing."
5. Wide of people standing near a sign reading (English) "Make American Great Once Again"
6. SOUNDBITE (English) Rochelle Brooks, Texas Delegate:
"I’m ready for him to give us our marching orders. Give us our blueprint, tell us what we need to do to get you where you need to be to do your job."
7. Mid of Rochelle Brooks speaking to the media
8. SOUNDBITE (English) Rochelle Brooks, Texas Delegate:
"I think as much as what we want to hear, we want to see that strong man stand up there with all that strength and all that energy and the ability to fight. And the visual is as important as what comes out of his mouth for me right now."
9. Media interview delegate wearing a suit with a brick wall pattern
10. SOUNDBITE (English) Blake Bell, Florida Delegate:
"I think there are a lot of people even, before Saturday who were afraid to come out and say, I’m a Donald Trump supporter. I think it is, has been a stigma that the media has, tried to put on people to make them feel embarrassed or of shame that they support Donald Trump. I think on Saturday, after the assassination attacks, people woke up and they said, we’re not ashamed anymore to say that Donald Trump is what’s best for this country."
11. Mid of Blake Bell looking at merchandise
12. SOUNDBITE (English) Blake Bell, Florida Delegate:
"And you can look at Donald Trump when we’re standing there on the convention floor, and you can see that, it appears he is a changed man. I think we’re going to hear that tonight. You know, there’s been a lot of parallels made between him and Reagan. When Reagan was shot, his tone changed as president. And I think we’re going to see a lot of that tonight, as well, in the speech that he delivers."
13. Zoom in on several Trump t-shirts depicting him after the assassination attempt
14. SOUNDBITE (English) Robert Millican, Alternate North Carolina Delegate:
"To be quite frank, Donald Trump was not my first choice, but he is after Saturday.
(Reporter: Explain that.)
Millican: Hand of God."
