STORYLINE:
Israeli medical services said that at least one person was killed and others injured in Tel Aviv following an explosion on Friday morning.
The Israeli army said that reports of the explosion indicate it was caused by the "falling of an aerial target".
According to the military, no sirens were activated and the incident is under investigation.
Israeli media reported a loud explosion on Ben Yehuda Street on the corner of Shalom Aleichem in Tel Aviv.
Police fire, and rescue services were deployed to the area and told Israeli media that there was no fire. The source of the explosion is not yet known.
