STORYLINE:
Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa on Friday became the first senior Japanese official to visit Kosovo since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 2009.
Kamikawa met Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Kosovo Foreign Mnister Donika Gervala Schwarz in Pristina.
"Peace and stability in the western Balkans are crucial for the entire of Europe," Kamikawa told Kurti during talks.
Before arriving in Kosovo, Kamikawa visited Bosnia and Serbia.
