"The children brought me a can of meat from near the school, and they said to me, “A can of meat, Dad, a can of meat. Open it so we can eat.” And I told them, “Bring it so I can open it.” I opened the can. Something happened and after that, I did not realise what had happened to me. After what happened, I did not wake up until I was in the hospital. In the operating room, I lost my eye and the ends of my hands, and the children were injured by shrapnel, and I was also injured."
