Joe Biden is withdrawing from the US presidential race.
The 81-year-old had been the presumptive Democratic Party nominee. But he now says he will focus on fulfilling his duties as president for the remainder of his term. Biden has also endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to run against former president Donald Trump, aiming to avoid further division among Democrats.
