‘Maybe another 20 years will pass, but those who will not tire of seeking not only justice – in principle, a value judgment has taken place – the world knows who pressed the button, the world knows who brought in this Buk system. The world knows where this system came from, and so on. It knows who is to blame, and in this sense the decision is fair. And the fact that the punishment for this crime was not imposed and implemented is another story, but the door is not closed. So I think it’s too early to talk about Russia fighting it off."

STORYLINE:
The people of Hrabove in Donbas will on Wednesday mark 10 years since the Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 disaster.
Some plan to place flowers at the crash site, others will spend time remembering the events of that dreadful day.
The Boeing 777 was heading from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur on July 17, 2014, when it was shot down over eastern Ukraine, during the conflict between pro-Russia separatists and Ukrainian forces.
All 298 people onboard died – citizens of the Netherlands, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, the Philippines, Canada, New Zealand, Vietnam, Israel, Italy, Romania, the United States and South Africa.
A painstaking international investigation established that a Buk missile fired from a launcher that was trucked into Ukrainian rebel-held territory from a Russian military base and then driven back to Russia caused flight MH17 to crash.
