“I am not scouting the forests (for birds in distress); I depend on the goodness of strangers who find the birds to bring them here for us to heal them and release them back into the wild. The procedure is simple, we first diagnose the birds, then we give them the veterinary care and rehabilitation they need and, in the end, we release them.”

“My job is to prepare the birds for independent life in nature. People describe me as a bird whisperer, which I am not, but I am preparing birds for return into the wild and that is a complex task because a bird must fear the people, it must learn to feed itself and become a good flyer. My job is to do everything in my power to give it a chance to survive in the wilderness.”
